Learning to read Persian (فارسی) comes with its own complexities. One of the main challenges is having several letters that sound the same but written differently. For example letters ز، ذ، ظ، ض all sound as “Z” but each have their own distinct shape.
In Persian (فارسی) language the e, a, o sounds that directly impact how a word is pronounced are not written. Thus, learners require a lot of practice and memorization to be able to pronounce each word correctly. There are also exceptions where a combination of letters make specific sounds that requires extensive practice to learn.
To be able to read Persian (فارسی), learners must be able to decode letters and words first. Then, recognize the words they have read, and finally, understand those words and be able to analyze what they read.
TooTak aims to facilitate the process of learning to read Persian (فارسی). Although TooTak relies on the Art of Reading method, it takes advantage of many other educational methods as well as a series of complementary activities to create an engaging learning environment that teaches Persian (فارسی) through interactive content. Through this process, learners not only learn reading but they can expand their vocabulary and strengthen their reading, comprehension and analysis skills.
